Saturday Morning Workshop April 7, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Fundamentals of Tai Chi

Master Ting will focus on the fundamentals necessary for successful Tai Chi practice. The basic Tai Chi principles, correct posture, centering, and fluid movement will all be explored in-depth in this stimulating session. Tai Chi practitioners at all levels and studying all styles will find this workshop important to understanding and advancing their current level of practice.


Saturday Afternoon Workshop April 7, 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Wu Ji Jing Gong Tai Chi Fundamentals

This workshop presents a unique opportunity to experience this form of Tai Chi, rarely found outside of China. Elements of Chen, Sun, Wu, and Yang styles are all found within this beautiful form. Tai Chi principles and postural fundamentals will be discussed and incorporated throughout the workshop, and underlying theories of Tai Chi will be demonstrated and instructed by Master Ting. Because of the depth and subtlety of this beautiful Tai Chi, only a portion this Performance Form will be taught in this first workshop. Subsequent workshops will continue to develop the Form.


Sunday Morning Workshop April 8, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Wu Ji Jing Gong Qigong

Qigong is the stepping-stone to a more complete understanding of Tai Chi. The focus of this session will be on the Wu Ji Jing Gong Qigong form. Master Ting will present each Qigong movement with attention to detail, placing emphasis on correct posture, underlying principles, and the unity between the body and mind to achieve fluid movement and relaxation.

Cost: When registering by March 31: $285 for the entire weekend; OR $190 for Saturday; OR $105 for any single workshop. After March 31: $310 for the weekend; $210 for Saturday; $115 for any single workshop. Space is limited - so please register early.


About Master William Ting ( )

Master Ting brings over 40 years of experience to these workshops. He has dedicated his life to preserving the pure art of Tai Chi Chuan by sharing his accumulated knowledge and insight of the beautiful art. Originally from Shanghai, Master Ting began his studies in the martial arts at the age of 14 and was honored to be chosen as a closed door student of the late Grandmaster Lu Ji-Tang. Master Ting Kuo-Piao, or William Ting, has a reputation as a Teachers' Teacher, not only because of his extensive in-depth knowledge of Tai Chi, but also because of his ability to effectively communicate esoteric understanding of theory and his ability to interpret the classic texts in a manner students from all levels and styles can relate to in modern society.

No prior knowledge of Tai Chi or Qigong is required for these workshops.
